Writing this post on the train back from Conchango’s offices near London Bridge, where I’ve just enjoyed a fantastic session on Silverlight and Mesh by Michael McClary. Flynney  and team have succeeded in putting together another great event, featuring some cool projects including another demo of Bob’s Colaab application, which has now been ‘Meshified’ and also some interesting multi-touch demos by Conchango themselves, including the rare opportunity to get our hands on a ‘Surface’ device, (Excuse the pun).

Thursday last week I was invited by John to speak at the Southampton NextGen user group, it was a fun session and fortunately I was joined by Dr. Neil Roodyn who happened to be in London presenting demos at the BETT show. Neil and I recently collaborated on an educational Surface application; you can watch a demo online. This provided us with some great content to present, the evening was an open and honest discussion around the way that designers and developers can work together productively using Microsoft’s tools.

Fortunately, I was also invited to present at Dave’s NextGen user group in Birmingham yesterday, it was a great evening and a fantastic opportunity to dive into some of our recent projects which span technologies including Live, WPF, Silverlight, Flash, Mobile and devices, including Surface.

2009 has got off to a fantastic start!
